Two new HTC Desire phones reportedly coming soon

New leaks online show new HTC Desire smartphones supposedly set to come out later this quarter. The Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle are said to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow skinned with HTC Sense. The Desire 10 Pro is showed off in renders by Evan Blass a.k.a. @evleaks on Twitter with metallic trims and matte casing. But there are hardly any info on this yet. The Desire 10 Lifestyle is said to be a 5.5-inch smartphone and is supposedly the lower-tier version of the two. Cameras for the Desire 10 Lifestyle are said to be 13-megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both phones are said to come with 1080p video recording. The phones are rumoured to be coming out by the end of September but no set dates or prices yet.

‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ release official trailer

In case you’ve missed it, the newest Star Wars film coming out at the end of the year recently got its first official trailer. And it’s a great thing we get to see a lot of the new characters from this movie as well as seeing one of the greatest villains in the Star Wars universe (and perhaps the whole cinematic universe): Darth Vader. And as The Verge points out, his reveal in the trailer comes in a similar vein as when Han Solo and Chewbacca came out in the trailer for The Force Awakens. Rogue One is led by actress Felicity Jones and it takes place just before the 1977 Star Wars: A New Hope film, which is just around the time that the Death Star was being built. Director Gareth Edwards calls this film a “war movie” and you can certainly see that here. Let’s just say we’re now more excited for it.

Gmail boosts email security with new warning system

Gmail is making it very clear for its users when you’ve been sent a sketchy link. If you use Gmail on the web or on Android. You’ll see a question mark in place of the sender’s profile photo if the message wasn’t authenticated by either the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) or DKIM). Those who check Gmail on the web will see a familiar warning message similar to Google’s Safe Browsing protection tool that’ll let you know you might be clicking a link that has malware or uses phishing to get your personal information. Google is quick to emphasize that of course not all affected emails could be dangerous. But it is definitely better to be on high alert in situations like this.
