Facebook: Use Moments or get synced photos deleted

It’s not entirely surprising that Facebook is yet again forcing the hand of its users to use another one of its apps. This time, it’s their photo-sharing app Moments. What’s the consequence if you don’t adopt the app? You’ll lose synced photos you didn’t know you had. You may or may not be aware that Facebook has an option to sync photos from your phone into a private album on the app. But if you don’t install Moments by July 7th to get them back, then you’ll use them forever. Of course, if those photos are still on your phone, you’ll still have them. Forcing users to download apps seems to be working for Facebook but that doesn’t mean users are happy about it.

EA’s new indie titles publishing program launches with ‘Fe’

EA Originals, the company’s new program to help small, independent, and innovative developing teams launch their games, introduces its first game. Fe, a nature-focused game, means fairy in Swedish and is designed by Zoink from Gothenburg, Sweden.  It’s a polygonal 3D adventure through an enchanted forest that hides many secrets. There's a sort of ethereal and somewhat spooky feel from its trailer. You won’t see any words while playing but the flora and fauna have a way of communicating with you. Zoink’s previous release was a neon-splashed quirky adventure game called Stick it to the Man. This new program has EA funding these small teams while giving one hundred percent of the revenue to the studios themselves. There is no word yet when Fe will be released and on what platforms.

Off The Record History extension gives you temporary access to Chrome Incognito browsing history

It’s generally great that Incognito mode on Google Chrome doesn’t keep any records of your browser history. But sometimes when you need access to a certain URL and accidentally close the window, you have no way of accessing it. That is until this this new extension. Off The Record History will keep your Incognito mode browsing history, your regular history, and recently closed tabs in a short-term history file while you have the browser open. Once you close it though, those links will be gone. You can check out the extension yourself but you’ll need to follow the instructions to make it work in Incognito mode.
