Official trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse released

We now have an official full trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse and have a better idea of what to expect. Set in the 80's, the movie pits a team of young X-Men against their greatest nemesis, an ancient godlike mutant Apocalypse who chooses four mutants to be his 'four horsemen' and end the world.

The movie is expected to be the biggest blockbuster from the X-Men series, it includes another Quicksilver scene which took three months to film and is supposedly better than the one that highlighted Days of Future Past. The trailer shows more conflict, more battles and devastation as well as some hint of newer mutants like Nightcrawler, Angel, Psylocke and Storm. I also includes various Bryan Singer touches we've seen in past X-Men films but on a larger scale (breaking bridges, matter and people turning to dust). The movie comes to theatres on May 27.

Apple's Tim Cook makes cover of Time for fight with FBI

Apple CEO Tim Cook is making the cover of Time Magazine but this time the focus is over the fight with the FBI. The cover shows  a black and white photo of a determined Tim Cook at his desk in Apple's headquarters flanked by an iPad Pro as well as an iMac.

The feature story is an exclusive interview that covers the implications of the much publicized stance Apple has taken on the side of privacy versus the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Apple is having a media event next week which will be live streamed. It is expected to be a product launch but many are wondering if Tim Cook will take at least a few minutes to address the elephant in the room and give the company's stand on what has turned out to be a hot topic that affects everyone.

The Time cover feature seems to cover all the bases of this issue and manages to air Apple's stance. Read more about it here.

New Instagram update relegates time stamp to bottom of the post

Before you could easily see when an Instagram post was posted as the time stamp was located on the upper right portion of the app. Now, the social network has relegated it to the bottom of the post, much like the fine print to a contract. If you don't look for it, you just might not notice that it's there. It now shows up right after the comments of a post. The move can be seen as preparation for the social network as it plans to offer a more algorithm-based feed instead of a chronological one. It doesn't show up on everyone's feeds yet but it should be rolling out to all users soon.

TomTom outs new Golfer smartwatch

Arriving just in time for the new season, TomTom just launched a new smartwatch for golfers. The ultra-slim Golfer 2 is the perfect companion for a golfer looking to improve his/her game. It's a GPS-enabled watch that comes with new featurres like Automatic Shot Detection. The watch can help you show your distance potential and even create a detailed post-round analysis on the compatible MySports app to show where you can improve. Automatic Shot Detection brings to the table how far you've hit each ball. The Golfer 2 also introduces an Auto Scorecard to help keep score automatically and categorize the kinds of shots taken for analysis.

The smartwatch has information on over 40,000 courses around the world to give you the best way to approach as well as show you the hazards on the course. Its battery is said to last for around 11 hours in GPS mode. It's also water-resistant so you don't have to worry about it getting too dirtied up while you're on the course. The Golfer 2 is arriving in May and will retail for $299.99.
