Beatles catalog now available from various streaming music services

Beatlemaniacs the world over have one more big reason to rejoice this Christmas as most of the iconic Beatles albums and singles are now available for streaming from the likes of Apple Music, Google Play Music, Spotify, Tidal and Microsoft Groove. Subscribers of these services can take a break from their Carols and Holiday Music and enjoy some of the best music ever made by John, Paul, George and Ringo. What a treat!

Coleco goes retro with new Chameleon gaming system

If you were a child of the ‘80s, this bit of news might be of interest to you. ColecoVision is getting an update with the new Chameleon console. The gaming system will be able to play reproductions of retro games and even new titles that look like they came straight from your childhood. This new console will also be using old school-style, plug-and-play cartridges housed within clamshell cases. There’s no word if it works ColecoVision game cartridges. Users will have a choice of getting classic or new games in 8-, 16-, and 32-bit formats. There’s also no word yet on pricing and availability. The Chameleon will make its first appearance at Toy Fair New York 2016.

Netflix brings season 7 of ‘Parks and Recreation’ to streaming service next month

After waiting for word when the seventh season of Parks and Recreation would show up on Netflix, we finally get confirmation. The season will be dropping on the streaming service by January 13th. Fans were waiting for the availability of the final season to come out already, if the availability of past seasons were any indication. But it would seem NBC opted out of the usual September or October release to supposedly drive up sales of the DVD. But now at least we get word when to expect the show to stream. And we can’t wait!

VLC adds split-screen support on iOS, among other features

VLC gets a significant update on iOS. One of the new features include split-screen support for the iPad. This means, you can watch your favorite shows or movies while doing other things on your tablet. The app also gets Touch ID support, meaning you can lock the app behind this feature and not have people looking into your video collection.

Other new features include the ability to configure gestures as well as the ability to set up your playback continuation options.
