Imagine Dragons partners with Apple and SAP to release exclusive single for refugee crisis relief

Hoping to help alleviate the refugee and migrant crisis that hit Europe, Imagine Dragons teamed up with Apple and SAP to release a new single on iTunes entitled "I Was Me." All proceeds of the song will go to the United Nations Refugee Agency. SAP, under its One4 Project banner, promises to donate an additional 10 cents per purchase for the first five million downloads, which could add US$500,000 more to the cause.

Hundreds of thousands of migrants have been coming into Europe from Syria after they've fled the ongoing civil war. Apple has its own iTunes donations drive for the same cause but this courses through its charity partner the American Red Cross. This campaign lets you donate cash in increments ranging from $5 to $200.

Sony PlayStation 4 gets official remote control

With the Sony PlayStation 4 not having an infrared sensor, you couldn't control it with a standard remote control. So, if you wanted to watch a Blu-ray on it, you still had to have the game controller on hand. Sony is fixing this issue with the release of its official PlayStation 4 Universal Media Remote. This remote can control three other devices, such as your TV and receiver, via IR. The remote will be available later this month for US$29.99.

Keep track of your little wagers with Parlay

Always up for a little friendly wager with your buddies or coworkers? Parlay can help you keep track of those bets. All you need to do is select you and your friend, set the "parlay," and the stakes. The stakes could be everything from cash, to picture challenges (maybe costumed punishments), to charity challenges, where the loser or winner has to donate to a specific charity. Parlay supports charities such as Girls Who Code, Charity: Water, Watsi, and Pencils of Promise. The Android and iOS app also lets you view what other people are challenging each other on. You can respond to those with emojis or encouragements.

'Avatar' trilogy expands into comic books

Just in case you didn't get enough of James Cameron's Avatar and its upcoming two movies, the universe is expanding into the graphic novel market. The comics will cover "the time before, during, and after the events of the original Avatar film." So, it's basically a prequel and sequel all rolled into one or rather the stuff they couldn't put in the film. Of course, we're assuming those coming after the movie should be after the second and third movie, because that will just completely spoil the story for the upcoming films.
