Microsoft integrates Skype into Office Online

If you’re working on a report in Microsoft’s Office Online, it is now easier to collaborate with others. They have integrated Skype into the online productivity suite. You don’t need to fire up a separate app or a new browser window. The Skype chat window will appear alongside the docs you’re working on.

Canada included in MasterCard global hackathon

MasterCard today announced the MasterCard Masters of Code competition. The intense, 10-city hackathon series will traverse the globe – from Sydney to Silicon Valley including Canada – to find the master artisans of our day: developers.

Nokia N1 tipped to make its debut on January 7

After announcing Nokia’s re-entry into the mobile device space, it would seem the N1 would finally be making its official debut. According to reports, the Android tablet’s launch for the Chinese market will happen on January 7. However, Nokia has not yet announced if they would offer the device to other markets. We will let you know if we find out more.

Google integrates song lyrics into search results

Google’s making it easier for you to look up song lyrics. You just need to type in the song title and the word lyrics ([song title] lyrics). And then Google Search shows you the result right on the Search Results page. However, it seemed to be powered by Google Play, so if the lyrics aren’t in their database, then it might not show up properly. It hasn’t shown up on our browser yet but we’re pretty sure that will be coming our way soon.
