Google adds video game panel in search

You were only able to find out about music, TV shows, movies and like when using Google Search. Now, Google has updated its Knowledge Graph to show video game information as well. It includes things such as what series the game belongs to, initial released date, developers, publishers, designers, supported platforms, as well as review scores. Knowledge Graph is used by Google to map out real world objects, landmarks, and famous people. So, now if you want to find out more information about the games you are playing or want to play, Google is making it easier for you to find these things out.

Acer introduces new R Series and V Nitro laptops

Looking to upgrade your work or gaming machines? Acer has launched new R Series convertible laptops and V Nitro gaming line.

The Aspire R 13 and Aspire R 14 combines touch display with keyboard as well as unique hinges intended to provide more flexibility from the machines. The R 13 comes equipped with the Ezel Aero hinge with a U-frame structure. It allows for the laptop to be folded into six different modes: notebook, pad, display, ezel, tent, and stand. Configurations include options for Full HD display, Gorilla Glass 3, solid state drives, and Acer Active Pen. It will be available starting late October or early November with prices starting at US$999.99

Pixelmator image editing app now available for iPad at $4.99

Offering desktop-level image editing and layouting features, the mobile edition of Pixelmator (famously demoed a week ago at the iPad Air 2 launch event) is finally available for purchase from the App Store. Pixelmator's desktop edition has been one of the leading image editors offering easy to use, yet powerful tools without a lot of complication or features most users don't really use or need. Nokia's Lumia 830 now available across Canada

The latest Windows Phone device from Microsoft is now available in Canada from Rogers, Fido, TELUS and Bell. The Lumia 830 is being touted as the "Affordable Flagship" since it brings the premium build and materials of earlier devices like the Nokia Icon and the Lumia 930 (not available in Canada) to a device with midrange processor and camera specifications. Running on the latest 'Denim' build of Windows Phone 8.1, which features various enhancements including faster camera software. The Lumia 830 is the first device to officially ship with all the new features including an 'alpha' version of the Cortana personal assistant. Expect a review once we get a device to test.
