Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 7:17PM We were at Sony's Dealer Event and one of the highlights of their product portfolio is the new and very much improved Xperia Tablet Z2. Now even lighter than the previous model, the tablet Z2 is fully waterproof, features a more powerful 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM running Android Jelly Bean OS and a stunning new display. Sony's really ahead of the game with their water and dust resistance feature but they've managed to keep things really thin and light at 439 grams. Available in black or white, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 comes to market real soon

Windows Phone users rejoice! Facebook Messenger made its debut on the Microsoft platform earlier than expected. The app comes over a week following Mobile World Congress announcement. It has most of the features of Facebook’s chat app, including group conversations, stickers, and photo sharing. However, it doesn’t have voice messaging and chat heads at the moment. We’d expect those additional features will come at a later date. But if you can live without those now, you can download the app here.

What is considered a common email feature finally arrives to iOS version of Gmail. The email app now supports background refresh. It means the app pre-fetches and syncs email so iOS 7 users can view new email as soon as they launch the app. Users must activate the feature as well as Gmail app notifications though to access it. If you don’t have Gmail on your iPhone yet, you can download it here.
