16GB Nexus 7 tablets pulled from Google Play store

Bad news if you're looking for the 16GB version of the hotly anticipated Nexus 7 tablet from the Google Play store. Google doesn't have any for sale right now and is prompting interested buyers to sign up to be notified of availability. The $259 tablet launched on June 27 and has just started shipping to the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.

Google has also made the device available through various retailers which have decided to offer only the 16GB version since the profit margins on the 8GB version are not woth the effort. The 16GB version also seems to be out of stock at Staples.ca as of this writing.

SlideShow: Canon's EOS M mirrorless compact camera leaked

It seems that Canon has finally decided to launch a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera line with this EOS M camera that has been leaked. Seems rather compact and more similar to a point-and shoot with basic controls  than some of the more complicated models. The design is very minimalist and seems to be touchscreen driven with quick controls for stills or video.

The beauty of a Canon mirrorless system is that it will likely have access to all the great lenses. If this new camera has an APS-C sized sensor and sells at a reasonable price with good lens choices, it will surely shake up the mirrorless camera market.
