Microsoft launches Office 15, preview available for download

Microsoft just launched Microsoft Office 15 today during a live webcast this afternoon. The new version of Office is available for download as a Preview so users can get an idea of what it offers. Office 15 will integrate various touch and pen-based input features which are in tune with Windows 8 as well as use on tablets like the Microsoft Surface which was previewed a few weeks ago.

Samsung launches EX2F 'Smart' camera with F1.4 lens and WiFi

Samsung is relentlessly pursuing market share in the consumer point and shoot camera market. They've upped the ante in terms of innovation (touchscreen control, built-in WiFi, integration with Android apps) and now they're challenging the competition in terms of lenses, sensors and features.

Camera geeks will appreciate the EX2F's F1.4 24mm wide-angle lens said to be approximately four times as bright as a F2.8 camera lens. All this in a solid and metal bodied compact point and shoot that also shoots HD video.

XBox 360 Halo 4 Edition coming in November, pre orders available

Revealed at Comic Con in San Diego earlier this week is the XBox 360 Halo 4 Edition which is slated for release in November.  According  to XBox Live's Major Nelson, "the limited edition bundle features an exclusive, custom-designed console and two exclusive controllers inspired by the game, astandard edition copy of “Halo 4,” a wired headset, a massive 320GB hard drive, built-in Wi-Fi, and Xbox LIVE tokens for exclusive “Halo 4” in-game and avatar marketplace downloadable content.

The “ring of light” on the console, as well as the Xbox Guide button of the controller will showcase a glowing blue color to match the overall “Halo 4” color scheme. Nice.
