Apple today announced that over 100 million apps have been downloaded from the Mac App Store in less than one year. With thousands of free and paid apps, the Mac App Store brings the App Store experience to the Mac so you can find great new apps, buy them using your iTunes account, and download and install them in just one step.

Red hot Samsung has said that the company has sold 300 million handsets in 2011 as of November. A report from The Chosunilbo states that "Samsung Electronics sold more than 300 million mobile phones worldwide this year, the second phone maker after Nokia to achieve the milestone in one year."
According to the report, Samsung sold an average of nine handsets a second and 820,000 a day. If the 300 million handsets are piled up, they would be more than 300 times the height of Mt. Everest.
Having seen many of the Canadian Samsung smartphone models this year, we're certain that most of the devices sold are Google Andrioid phones.

There was a time when sharing photos meant gathering around a slide projector and seeing blown-up versions of pictures appear on a screen. There was a certain elegance in the storytelling qualities of a proper slideshow. This is something Nikon seems to want to bring back with their S1200pj camera/projector combo.

They are also offering a free animated Yellow Submarine book on iBook Store featuring animated illustrations and text from the 2004 book, 14 full-colour video clips from the original 1968 film, audio clips of classic Beatles hits and Sir George Martin's original score, original dialogue from the film, "read aloud" functionality
