Toshiba's Android Tablet comes to Canada in August, starts at $429

Steve Wong of Toshiba Canada gave us a pretty comprehensive overview of Toshiba's Honeycomb (3.1) tablet which is called the Thrive in some markets. Coming to Canada in August, this tablet has a lot going for it. It is the only one in the market with user replaceable batteries ($59.95) and it has I/O galore including a full size SD Card slot, HDMI, miniUSB, full-size USB and dual cameras. Game Changer: TELUS cuts roaming rates up to 60 per cent for its 7 million customers

TELUS is bucking the trend and rewarding its customers by cutting exorbitant roaming rates by up to 60 per cent. Canadians have long suffered stiff penalties for using their wireless devices across borders and in a show of good faith, TELUS is the first to try and rectify this situation. Hopefully other companies will follow suit.

HP TouchPad video teases webOS on a tablet

A whole new tablet platform comes next month when HP launches the TouchPad which will be coming to Canada on July 15 together with the HP Pre 3 on Rogers. Here's a little sample of what webOS looks like on a 10.1" inch tablet. Looks pretty sweet and boy is it fast.
