Speed Demon: Samsung Galaxy Fascinate 4G

At first glance, the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4 G looks identical to most of the glossy Galaxy smartphones in the market today but the new Android "hero" device from TELUS is actually the first smartphone announced to work on the speed 4G network. Notable features include a front facing video-call enabled camera and the ability to use the device as a high speed mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices.

Videotron announces fibre-optic connected 4G network, tablets

Looks like 4G data connectivity is upon us. Videotron just announced that its fibre-optic mobile network, is evolving towards 4G. The upgrade is possible because the network uses the latest telecommunications technology. Videotron is also planning a number of other developments for the spring, among them the roll-out of services in Saguenay and Gatineau, and the addition of new devices to its product line-up, including its first tablet computer.

Video: TELUS to offer Nexus S and Galaxy S Fascinate 4G 

Announced today during the TELUS Spring event were the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G which will be able to access superfast data (21mpbs) and the Google Nexus S which is the first Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone in the market and offers VOiP calling as well as a front-facing camera for video chats. The two smartphones are expected to launch "within 30 to 60 days."
