Sony expanding its QX smartphone camera accessory line to take NEX interchangeable lenses

Various camera manufacturers are trying to find new and creative ways to remain relevant in the age of the smartphone camera while others are looking at ways to integrate their technology and products to popular smartphones. Sony's QX line of lens and camera attachments which use your iPhone or Android device's display as a touchscreen. It seems Sony is releasing a new model that now takes many of its NEX interchangeable lenses (and possibly its larger Alpha lenses via an adaptor).

SonyAlphaRumours states the following, "These are the first pictures of the ILCE-QX1 E-mount camera. The third QX camera after the QX10 and QX100 (here one Bay). But unlike the other two this hasn’t a fixed lens but is an E-mount module. It has an APS-C sensor (not sure yet but should have the same great A6000 24MP sensor with fast af), built-in flash. Intriguing!

Samsung and Nike partner to introduce exclusive Nike+ Running app for Gear S

Samsung is looking for an edge for its first Tizen-powered smartwatch, Gear S. They have partnered with Nike to introduce a new exclusive Nike+ Running and Fitness app for the smartwatch. It is intended to turn the Gear S into a fitness tracker similar to what the FuelBand was. Because the Gear S has 3G capability, there is no need to use a smartphone to upload live progress statistics to Nike+ servers. It is also capable of collecting different information about your speed, distance, and route thanks to the GPS module. You can also check pace, direction, and heart rate right from the Gear S. Nike also introduced a Nike+ Coach functionality right into the app to help runners keep in shape.
