Google puts out an interactive Moto Maker print ad

Moto Maker is the interactive website where Moto X customers can design their own Moto X smartphone. It is available only to customers in the US but Google, who owns Motorola, has done a bit of clever advertising with an interactive print ad (you read that right) that simulates the experience of designing your own Moto X. This one comes to Wired's January 2014 issue.

Windows Phone gets Xbox video and Music Apps

Xbox video and Music apps are now available on Windows Phone. The apps were recently made available and enable users to purchase and stream movies and TV shows from the Xbox Network. Any media you rent or purchase can be watched offline at your convenience (ideal for upcoming holiday travels). HD video is not yet supported on mobile but that's hopefully coming soon.

Apple's Holiday ad focuses on what's most important

Oh, look it's another moody teenager buried in his iPhone while life goes goes on around him. Instead of participating in key holiday momenets and bonding with his family, he seem to be sulking and sending Snapchats. But wait, not everything is what it seems. The new holiday ad by Apple is titled 'Misunderstood' and it cleverly reminds us that sometimes the technology isn't as important as how you use it to capture and share the stuff that really matters.

Final Cut Pro X gets update to support 4K, new Mac Pros

With the availability of the new Mac Pro starting today, Apple's Final Cut Pro X application is getting an update to be able to manage 4K monitors as well as work with the new hardware. A ton of features coming to FCP have been long awaited by many users who were otherwise underwhelmed by the intial feature set of the revamped Final Cut Pro. Compressor and Motion have also been updated in order to better manage 4K content and  Motion is now tuned to work with the new Mac Pro and its dual AMD GPUs.
