Tamagotchis to make a comeback

Remember those little virtual pets from the ‘90s? Well, you can get a piece of ‘90s nostalgia by around fall next year. Gizmodo reported that Bandai plans to relaunch the game as Tamagotchi Friends and would probably sell around US$20. Now, you can give your kids a piece of your past and make sure to remind them to feed and bathe your Tamagotchis.

Microsoft updates SkyDrive for iOS with photo auto-upload

Microsoft just released an update for its SkyDrive iOS app to add automatic uploading for photos on the iOS platform. This was previously just available for Windows Phone users but now you can do so with your iOS device. It won’t be automatically available but you will be prompted when the update is installed. You can choose to turn on video backup as well. The Verge reported that the app will upload all photos in your camera roll once you enable the feature for the first time.

Amazon plans to improve screen and font for Kindle Paperwhite

TechCrunch reported that Amazon intends to update its Paperwhite e-book reader for the spring 2014 release. The tech company plans to improve the screen resolution from 212 ppi to 300 ppi. The weight of the device will supposedly be cut down as well. Amazon also reportedly wants to improve the typography with a customized font, provide “squeezable” buttons for haptic feedback, and add ambient light sensors to improve auto brightness adjustment.
