LG may be maker of next Google Nexus smartphone

HTC and Samsung each did it twice. The former with the initial Google T-Mobile G1 smartphone and later on the Nexus One and then Samsung took over with the Nexus S followed by the Galaxy Nexus. Now it seems that LG has been tagged to deliver the next Google flagship device slated for November release.

Apple's Podcasts App features Canadian content

The Podcasts app was extracted from the Music app on iOS in order to serve as a more robust standalone app for users looking through hundreds of audio and video podcasts available out there for free. The app now features various sections as well as an interesting 'discovery' model that emulates an old world radio where users can scroll though genres of content. Focus on featured Canadian content is also a definite plus that makes this Podcast app worth checking out.

Ontario-based dev used her childhood to inspire Strut Type photo app 

Ontario-based app developer Christine Summers of Ultimate Chemistry spent part of her upbringing in a photo darkroom, watching her father, an amateur photographer, play with light effects, shutter speeds, vignettes and different types of canvases. He used what was known as the strut type accordion camera — the world’s first compact, folding camera series popularized by George Eastman in the late 19th century.
