Apple tipped to release M2-powered MacBook Pros as soon as the fall

Source: Apple

We might soon see the M2 Pro and Max processors on MacBook Pros. At least, that's what Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claims to be happening. In his weekly Power On newsletter, he said that we might see refreshed 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops as soon as this fall. The overall design might not get revamped. Instead, the focus is on bringing the second iteration of its in-house processors to the more pro-centric line of MacBooks. These chips are expected to be faster and more oriented toward heavy-duty workflows.

If the report is accurate, it suggests Apple adopts an iPhone-like release cadence. But if the company sticks to the rollout of the M1 to the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, we might have to wait until spring 2023. We'll keep our eyes peeled for any updates with this lineup.

Dbrand makes your Pixel 6a look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

Source: Dbrand

Dbrand celebrates the launch of the new Pixel 6a in its own way. The company released a new skin inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, using that unique camera bar to bring the characters' masks to your new Pixel. It's available for the entire Pixel 6 line.

The company hasn't mentioned if this has been officially licensed, but the logo certainly makes it look like the original. Dbrand might be courting copyright controversy once again. But it's certainly fun to look at. The TMNP (Teenage Mutant Ninja Pixels) skins are now available for pre-order at $24.95, with shipment scheduled for "early August."

Google kicks off Pixel 6a pre-orders in Canada

Source: Google

If you're waiting to get your hands on the more budget-friendly Pixel 6a, Google has finally opened pre-orders for the device. It costs $599 in Canada and comes in Sage, Chalk, and Charcoal. You can pre-order through Google's site and get a free pair of Pixel Buds A-Series with your order.

The Google Pixel 6a packs in the same Tensor chip powering the Pixel 6. It's similar to how the iPhone SE borrows some specs from the more expensive options. It sports a similar two-tone colour with a distinctive camera bar as the Pixel 6. It has a 6.1-inch OLED 1080p display locked at 60Hz, and an older Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen. It has an in-screen fingerprint reader but doesn't get wireless charging.
