Video: RIM's PlayBook Mini Keyboard Case

Forget the Phablets! What about a NetBlet? The $120 BlackBerry Bluetooth Keyboard Case converts the PlayBook into a 7-inch netbook complete with a QWERTY keyboard and a trackpad.

Research In Motion introduced the BlackBerry Mini Keyboard, the newest ultra-portable companion for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The new BlackBerry Mini Keyboard connects to the PlayBook tablet via Bluetooth and works with core PlayBook 2.0 and third party applications to provide an even more powerful mobile computing experience. Ideal for notetakers or users who prefer the tactile nature of a keyboard over typing on Gorilla Glass.

The new BlackBerry Mini Keyboard features:

  • ·         A stylish convertible case that doubles as a device stand
  • ·         An integrated touchpad for smooth PlayBook navigation and control
  • ·         128-bit encryption for a secure Bluetooth connection
  • ·         Up to 30 days battery life on a single charge

The BlackBerry Mini Keyboard also allows users to take full advantage of the PlayBook’s high resolution screen while typing.

It is great to see RIM continuing to develop the BlackBerry PlayBook Ecosystem, we're hoping this keyboard is built to the same high standard as RIM's other cases and accessories.

The BlackBerry Mini Keyboard is now available for pre-order internationally at www.shopblackberry.com for US$119.99. In Canada, it is also available for pre-order exclusively at The Source - www.thesource.ca.
