HP serves up thinner and lighter mobile workstations

Workstations are traditionally expected to be thick, heavy and clunky because they are desktop replacements and require a lot of space for ports, power supplies and graphics cards. HP is changing this notion dramatically with thin, light and sexy laptops that manage to stand out in the sea of corporate notebooks.

The HP ZBook Studio - HP’s thinnest and lightest full performance model ever brought to the market and can be configured to fit business and road warrior needs with professional choices of memory, processor, graphics and more. The 15.6-inch diagonal HP ZBook Studio, the world's first quad core workstation class Ultrabook sporting Intel Xeon processors as well as fast SSDs and graphics cards. How did they keep the profile so thin? There's an ZBook Studio Dock for expansion with up to 10 ports accessed via a single USB 3.0 slot. The HP ZBook Studio starts at US $1699.00.
