Google confirms Pixel 3 event for October 9

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Folliowing in the deluge of major technology fall launches, Google is expected to reveal its latest Pixel 3 smartphones and other Made By Google devices on October 9.

October has become Google's time to launch its range of new products and services. On tap this year are the two vastly leaked Pixel 3 devices. We expect two smartphones with the larger model featuring the edge-to-edge-display and new notch. We might see some exclusive Android Pie features on the new Pixel 3s. I'm expecting some new gesture and voice-based features as well as a lengthy list of camera updates for these new phones. Hit jump for an overview of what we can expect.

More than phones, Google also likes to pump out updates to its Google Assistant AI as well as Google Home devices, what's new this year are Google Home powered speakers as well as devices with displays. Having been present for the past two Google October events, I also expect a slew of announcements around VR and AR features and exclusives, some updates to Google Daydream headsets and likely update to its Pixel Buds smart headsets

Despite the rash of leaks in the Pixel department, expect some surprises from Google, possibly newer and cheaper Pixelbooks and maybe even a new tablet. We'll all know more on October 9.
