'Resident Evil Village' demo comes to PS4 & PS5 first on April 17, additional platforms on May 1

Capcom will give gamers a chance to try out Resident Evil Village very soon, especially those who own PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles. There will be time-limited demos that are playable during specific windows.

For PS4 and PS5 users, you can try out a 30-minute demo of the "Village" environment, which will be available for eight hours starting on April 17 at 8 p.m. ET. And then, these gamers get access to a 30-minute demo of the "Castle" environment for the same eight-hour window on April 24.

If you want to play for a longer time, Capcom will offer 60-minute demos for both environments on May 1 for all platforms (including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Stadia). These will be playable for 24 hours, starting at 8 p.m. ET. PlayStation gamers can access the starting today.

Resident Evil Village will come out on all platforms on May 7.
