Dyson Supersonic Nural: Hair drying gets smarter (and cooler)

Photo: Dyson

Dyson is shaking up the hair-drying game again with the launch of the Supersonic Nural, the next iteration of their coveted Supersonic dryer.

The Nural boasts several new features designed to improve hair health. The most notable is the "Scalp protect mode" which automatically reduces heat to a cool 55 degrees Celsius when nearing your scalp, preventing heat damage. Additionally, the Nural features attachment learning technology that adjusts speed and heat based on the attachment you're using.

The Nural is also smaller and lighter than the original Supersonic and comes with a new wave-and-curl diffuser attachment for creating frizz-free, loose waves. This dryer even has a "pause detect" feature that turns off the heat and motor when you put it down, reducing noise and saving energy.

Available in two colourways (a purple and orange option and a turquoise and orange combo) and priced at $499.99 (around CA$677), the Dyson Supersonic Nural is set to launch in May 2024 in Korea first. But Dyson plans to ring it to other markets later.
