Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: Thinner, lighter, and smarter with a wider outer screen

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold7, refining its foldable lineup with upgrades centred on an expanded outer display and powerful artificial intelligence-powered integration.
The most notable change is the new, wider 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display, making the Galaxy Z Fold7 feel and function more like a traditional smartphone when folded. This slimmer (9mm) and lighter (215g) design, even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, significantly improves portability. When unfolded, it offers an expansive 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen. Both displays boast high brightness and smooth performance.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor powers enhanced AI capabilities. Key AI features, including Gemini Live for multimodal analysis, Circle to Search for in-game information, and improved AI Erase and Audio Eraser, are seamlessly integrated.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 also brings a 200-megapixel main camera, on par with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, ensuring stunning photo and video quality. Its refined Armor FlexHinge and durable construction with Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 promise lasting resilience.
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 begin July 9, with general availability on July 25. In Canada, pricing starts at $2,564.99 for the 256GB model.
