IFA 2025: Lenovo's concept laptop gets a rotating screen

Lenovo's latest concept at IFA 2025 in Berlin might not be as extravagant as those that came before. But it might be practical enough to warrant an actual product release. The ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept resembles a standard 14-inch laptop. However, if you nudge the top-right corner of the screen, it rotates the 90-degree display within the chassis to make it easier to view long documents, code, or, possibly, doomscroll.

When it is in this position, you get enough space to put your phone right beside it. If the concept ever becomes a reality, you can place your smartphone there, use Lenovo's Smart Connect app, and easily transfer files between your devices.

With a simpler mechanism than previous concepts, it is easy to see this making the transition. It'll also be less expensive than the more ambitious projects. The Verge noted that Lenovo reps told them the VertiFlex concept can even be easily scaled to other laptop sizes.
