YouTube is testing a redesigned top navigation bar on its mobile app's Home tab, aimed at simplifying how users navigate their favourite content. Under the updated interface, Subscriptions have moved into the main top bar alongside standard feeds for Live and Music content. Additionally, users with active subscriptions to Movies & TV will see a dedicated shortcut directly in the navigation menu for quicker access to premium entertainment.
The refresh also introduces custom feeds, allowing viewers to build continuously updating recommendations based on specific topics, content styles, or general vibes rather than simple keyword searches. These personalized feeds sit directly in the top bar, where users can add, edit, or remove them at any time to tailor their home screen experience. The feature is currently rolling out to signed-in viewers aged 13 and up in the US using English-language settings. Custom feeds work on desktop and mobile, with watch and search history required to be activated.
