Google traded its distinctive camera bar for a flat back with the Pixel 9a, but now it recessed the camera module on new Pixel 10a further. The camera module is now under the rear glass, ensuring the phone won't wobble when placed on a table. The new midrange Pixel comes with a 6.3-inch Actua display with 3,000 nits peak brightness, along with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an IP68 rating. But if you have trouble telling it apart from its predecessor, you won't be alone.
Google's artificial intelligence features, Gemini Live and Nano Banana, are available on the Pixel 10a. With the phone's 48-megapixel main and 13-megapixel camera, you can also use AI photo functions like Camera Coach, which offers real-time tips for the best picture, and Add Me, which makes it easier to bring the photographer into group shots.
And if you want to share those photos you took with your iPhone-toting friends, the Pixel 10a also supports Android-to-iPhone AirDrop file transfers. In some regions, it also has access to Satellite SOS, so you can call for help even in an area without cell signal. The Google Pixel 10a is now available for preorder starting at $679 in Canada in the shades Berry, Lavender, Fog, and Obsidian. It will be available in stores in March.
