Bluesky CEO steps down from role
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10:33PM Jay Graber, the chief executive officer of Bluesky since 2021, is leaving her position and transitioning to chief innovation officer of the social platform. "As Bluesky matures, the company needs a seasoned operator focused on scaling and execution, while I return to what I do best: building new things," Graber wrote in a blog post.
Taking over as temporary CEO is Toni Schneider, the former CEO of WordPress parent Automattic. Graber also remains a member of the company's board of directors and will help determine who the permanent leader of the platform will be.
