Instagram Instants is basically a Snapchat clone

Source: Meta

Instagram takes inspiration once again from Snapchat with its new app. This time, you get the core part of its rival in the new Instagram Instants app. The feature was previously called Shots and was integrated within the social media app's direct messaging section.

If you've used Snapchat before, the experience would be familiar, with Instagram Instants opening straight to the in-app camera. You can send moments to your friends, and these photos disappear after 24 hours. Photos shared to and from Instants will still be viewable within the main Instagram app. It's available on both Android and iOS in a few markets.
