The Oura Ring 5 earns the title of Oura's smallest smart ring yet—with the wearable 40% smaller than its predecessor. Tech Advisor noted the device looks and feels like a regular piece of jewelry. If bulky wearables have always been a deal breaker, Oura wants to make a case for its smart ring.
Despite shedding weight, Oura promises the ring will carry the same sensing and tracking accuracy as the models before it. Oura claims a battery life of between six and nine days and takes 20 to 80 minutes to charge. The ring is also waterproof up to 100m/328 ft, and it works with both Android and iOS. The Oura app can show you information such as heart health, movement, stress and sleep, with many of these features paywalled behind a monthly subscription.
The Oura Ring 5 is already available for preorder in Canada, and will ship starting June 4. The Silver and Black options retail for $529, while Stealth (black), Brushed Silver, Gold and Deep Rose are priced at $640.
