TwitchCon becomes GlitchCon, a streaming event happening on Nov. 14

Twitch had to cancel its TwitchCon event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. So, the streaming platform is doing what other companies have done; it'll be moving the event online. It dubs it GlitchCon, which will happen on November 14. (Glitch refers to what Twitch calls its logo.)

The company posted a short video on Twitter to announce the event with the message, "Because no fun was ever had by NOT going into an interdimensional portal. Step inside with us." We aren't sure how this will replace the in-person event with streamers and fans, but we might hear more about it as GlitchCon approaches.

Review: 2020 Lexus UX250h AWD

Text and photos by Emily Chung

Lexus presented a luxury subcompact crossover in the market "for the urban explorer" over a year ago with the UX250 Hybrid. Source: Capcom

New details about Resident Evil 8 on the PlayStation 5 have been added to its official PlayStation Store listing, giving us a better idea of what to expect when the title launches on Sony's next-gen console. Visually, the upcoming horror sequel will 4K with ray tracing. It also promises fast load times because of the PS5's "ultra high-speed SSD."

On top of that, the game will take advantage of the DualSense controller with its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, which can "simulate the effect of firing a real gun."

Apple's iPhone 5c is now a vintage product with limited support

Apple has announced that the iPhone 5c is now considered a vintage product and will have limited support in terms of software and apps moving forward. The iPhone 5c was the first new iPhone geared at the midrange and brought all the goodness of the iPhone 5s line into a fun, and colourful "unapologetically plastic," form factor. The iPhone 5c was also quite popular with the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) office crowd moving from Blackberries into more modern and popular iOS devices. The iPhone 5c was a good seller in its time and sleek product that was beloved by users who wanted a cheaper alternative to the costlier metal iPhones.

While Apple has never returned to a polycarbonate smartphone form factor, it did repeat the colours motif with the iPhone XR, and now with the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 lines.
