Gmail's dedicated Google Meet tab rolls out on iOS

Around a month ago, Google announced that it planned to bring a dedicated Meet tab to its mobile clients. Now, iOS users are getting it first, and it will be widely available over the next couple of weeks. It will be "coming soon" to Android. Google also clarified that G Suite for Education accounts that can't create Meet video meetings will not see the Meet tab. They will need to use the dedicated Meet for Android or iOS client.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 most likely won't be unveiled at Unpacked event

Samsung is about to introduce several products at its upcoming Unpacked event. The star will definitely be the Galaxy Note 20 series. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+, Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 are expected to make an appearance. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 might not be launched at the event.

Max Weinbach, an industry insider and a writer at XDA Developers, says he is 60% sure Samsung won't mention the foldable device at the event and 100% sure it won't make an appearance at all. Weinbach claims claiming that the software for it isn't close to being ready, and we haven't heard much about its hardware either. He estimates that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be announced in early September with a target release of early October. If that is true, there are still many devices that Samsung will be announcing on August 5.

Watch Dogs 2 was supposed to be a freebie for viewers who tuned into the Ubisoft Forward digital event on Sunday while being logged in to Uplay. But technical problems prevented some people from getting the game. And so the developer decided to give it away. Ubisoft hasn't announced until when the giveaway will last, so if you want the game, you better download fast.

'Far Cry 6' lands on Feb. 18, 2021

Ubisoft's Far Cry 6 announcement might have gotten leaked earlier, but the official launch sheds more light about the upcoming sequel to Far Cry New Dawn. Now we know the game is launching on February 18, 2021. It'll be available for the Sony PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox Series X and Xbox One, Google Stadia, PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, and Uplay+. If you buy the PS4 or Xbox One game, you can upgrade to the next-generation PS5 or Xbox Series X versions.

As revealed in the leak, you will play resistance fighter Dani Rojas who is trying to take down President Antón Castillo (played by Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito) and, possibly, his son Diego (Coco's Anthony Gonzalez). Ubisoft hasn't revealed much about game mechanics yet. You will get weapons like a disc launcher (which comes with the pre-order pack) and a for-hire "wiener dog on wheels." Make of that what you will.
