Freedom Mobile reportedly offers COVID-19 relieft discounts for customers who reach out

Freedom Mobile is reportedly helping out some of its customers through COVID-19 relief discounts. MobileSyrup discovered posts on RedFlagDeals talking about the discounts some of the received. And all you need to do is reach out to the telecom either through live chat or via a phone call asking about the offer. The discounts seem to vary, though. A user received $20 off three of their lines for six months, another received $5 off for the next several months, and others got either three- or six-month discounted periods. If you need help, it's definitely worth asking, though.

Twitter flags Trump's tweet on Minneapolis riots for glorifying violence

Twitter has flagged another one of US President Donald Trump's tweets, this time for glorifying violence in the wake of riots taking place in Minneapolis where citizens are protesting against the police for the death of George Floyd at the hands of his arresting officer who was fired, but still walks free. Riots escalated for the third day in a row and resulted in the burning of a police station and various injuries to both police and protesters.

Trump fired off a series of tweets condemning the protests by "thugs," and threatening to send in the National Guard to "get the job done right." Another tweet from Trump included, "when the looting starts, the shooting starts," but was hidden by Twitter because it violated their terms of service for inciting violence.

Netflix will cancel subscriptions of long-dormant accounts

If you can't recall the last time you opened your Netflix account, maybe you don't need it. And the streaming service will do you the favour of cancelling your account for you. Netflix recently announced on its corporate blog that it would check into accounts that have been dormant for over a year, and reach out to them through in-app notifications or via email. If a user doesn't reply, Netflix will cancel their subscription for them.

But if you want to stay on and got your account cancelled, you can still do so. Netflix will keep your account details (including your favourites, viewing preferences, and profiles) for 10 months, and they will all be restored if you resubscribe. Netflix says of the move that it wants to keep people from "paying for something they're not using." With more and more people needing to tighten their belts because of COVID-19, this is a nice gesture from the company. It can also serve as a reminder for you to check which services you can let go of.

'Fast & Furious Crossroads' gets first gameplay trailer

The upcoming Fast & Furious game takes a lot of inspiration from the over-the-top action movie franchise. And now we get our first look at Fast & Furious Crossroads gameplay is going to be like through this first gameplay trailer. Developed by Slightly Mad Studios, Crossroads was first slated for a May release, but it got pushed back to August 7. As shown in the trailer above, the game harnesses what the film franchise is known for—fast cars and action.

You get to play some of the series regulars (voiced by the actors, too). And it looks like you can switch between the different characters. According to its publisher Bandai Namco, the title will also get three-way multiplayer mode. The games based on the series have been underwhelming so far, so a lot is riding on this one. And we hope it delivers. Fast & Furious Crossroads will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
