Rogers brings Pro On-the-Go service to Ottawa

Rogers is expanding its Pro On-the-Go service to Ottawa, bringing safe contactless support and flexible delivery options in the nation's capital. Rogers partnered with mobile retail store Enjoy to make this initiative happen. The service lets customers choose the time and date that works best for them. A Rogers Pro will then deliver the device and assist the customer with setting it up. This setup process can be done over the phone, through a video chat, or six-feet-apart right on the customers' front porch or yard. The Rogers Pro can also offer tips and tricks on getting the most out of their devices.

According to the national carrier, the service is available for over 10 million Canadians, since it's also available in Vancouver, the Greater Toronto Area, and some parts of Southwestern Ontario. Samsung Galaxy S7's last update fixes a critical security issue

Support for the Galaxy S7 ended last month, four years after the device made its debut. Despite this, Samsung just released one more update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge to fix a critical security vulnerability. The issue affects every single Samsung smartphone sold in 2014, and this new patch fixes the problem. The vulnerability allows a determined hacker to gain access to the system, possibly without the user's knowledge. It arose from a change Samsung made to Android that altered how the system handled .qmg files. All the attacker has to do is send multiple MMS messages with a specific image file to execute the exploit.

The May 2020 security patch fixes the issue. But since the Galaxy S7 series isn't covered anymore, PiunikaWeb on Samsung's forums discovered a new update that delivers the SVE-2020-16747 fix. And while it still has the April security patch attached to it, a Samsung moderator assures that the .qmg exploit fix is there. It isn't clear, though, if older Samsung flagships will get the same update.

Canadian Tire adds curbside pickup option to Android, iOS apps

Canadian Tire now has the option for curbside pickup on its Android and iOS apps. The choice was previously only available on the company's site. But a new update, which also offers fixes for "major bugs," brings it to mobile. Version 8.5.2 allows guest users to add products to their wishlist and sync the items when you sign in. 

Those who choose curbside parking get to place their orders digitally and have an associate deliver their orders to their cars when they arrive at the store. Canadian Tire stores will have designated signs to let you know where to park and what to do to receive your order.

Is a green Samsung Galaxy S20 in our future?

A Samsung Twitter account in Japan teased a possible new colour option for the Galaxy S20 series. Leaker Ishan Agarwal shared the image on Twitter that shows a green hue surrounding the camera module, which looks like the Galaxy S20's camera. The colour seems to be a darker shade of green, which would be eye-catching. Now the question is whether this variant will be released and whether it'll make its way here. Only time will tell.
