'Star Trek: Picard' becomes Crave's most streamed series debut in history

Bell Media announced that the recently released Star Trek: Picard is the most-streamed debut on its Crave streaming service. The company counted total streams of the pilot episode in the week following its premiere on January 23. Crave gets a new episode of the show every Thursday night. Picard also airs on Thursday's on Bell's CTV Sci-Fi channel. 

Star Trek: Picard marks the return of Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard. It explores the fallout following the death of Data in Star Trek: Nemesis— which is also the last time Stewart appeared on a Star Trek project—as well as the destruction of Romulus in J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek movie. The show has already been renewed for a second season, giving fans more episodes to look forward to.

TCL will stop making BlackBerry phones by the end of August 2020

Chinese electronics group TCL will halt the production of BlackBerry-branded phones this year. But it isn't clear if this marks the end of the once-dominant Canadian handset brand. According to BlackBerry's official Twitter, TCL will lose its rights to design, make, or sell BlackBerry smartphones by the end of August. BlackBerry licensed its smartphone technology to TCL back in 2016 in hopes of reviving the brand against the stiff competition it faced from Apple and Android-powered devices. BlackBerry retained control over the software and security on smartphones, while TCL made the hardware. 

BlackBerry didn't say what the future holds for its mobile brand, but it said in the post, "The future is bright for both TCL Communication and BlackBerry Limited, and we hope you will continue to support both as we move ahead on our respective paths."

Samsung leaks Galaxy S20 images on European online site

We're a week away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, and the company seems to have accidentally leaked the Galaxy S20 on one of its official online stores in Europe. 

WinFuture spotted the listing, which has since been taken down, along with one of the new cases you can buy for the phone. The photos show an almost bezel-less display with a hole-punch at the top center for the camera and a rectangular camera module at the back. It also all but confirms that Samsung is skipping S11 for the S20 branding.

Apple releases new trailer for 'Mythic Quest'

Apple is teasing its upcoming comedy series Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet through a new trailer that shows both footage and a behind-the-scenes look. The two-minute-long teaser video gives us a better glimpse of what to expect from the Apple TV Plus-exclusive show. Mythic Quest revolves around the story of the developers behind the titular multiplayer video game. The show is written by Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, who are known for their work on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. McElhenney stars as the fictional video game company's creative director. Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet drops on Apple TV Plus on February 7.
