Next-gen Google Assistant is now rolling out in Canada, four other countries

Aside from the Pixel feature drop, Google is rolling out the next-generation Assistant that debuted on the Pixel 4 outside of the US. Canada will be one of the five countries getting the update. The others are Australia, Ireland, Singapore, and the UK. Google has started rolling it out on December 12. But these rollouts happen in stages, so if it hasn't made its way to your Pixel 4, just be a bit patient.

Unfortunately, the new Google Assistant will only be available on the Pixel 4, and it'll only support the English language for now. This next-gen Assistant introduces improved response speed by moving the language processing to the device. The update also brings a new look to Assistant.

The panel is etched at the nanometer level that helps cut down glare and reflectivity. But as we just learned, it needs to be cleaned with a special cloth. A dry polishing cloth provided by Apple should be the only thing you use to wipe the glass. Water or liquids shouldn't be used.

According to an Apple support document, you mustn't use any other cloth for it. And if you lose it, you need to contact Apple Support for a replacement. It isn't clear how much the fabric will cost.

BMW to add support for wireless version of Android Auto in 2020

While BMW has supported CarPlay for a while already, this news marks the first time the German automaker will support Google's Android Auto. The feature will be available in some of its vehicles starting July 2020. But it will only support wireless Android Auto, which means it won't work if you don't have select Pixel, Nexus, or Samsung devices, though. All cars that have BMW Operating System 7.0 will work with Android Auto. Here's to hoping BMW expands support in the future.
