Warner Bros. pushes back filming for ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’

Warner Bros.

Production for the next installment of the Fantastic Beasts has been pushed back. The reason is they need more time for pre-production. Instead of starting filming in July, it’s going to begin in the late fall of this year. As Deadline mentions, the studio tended to rush event films to keep release dates, but with Fantastic Beasts 3 having a 2020 release, they’re willing to give more leeway when it comes to the schedule. Not much is known about the film yet, but it’s said to focus on Grindelwald and Dumbledore’s relationship. The film will also address the unanswered questions from The Crimes of Grindelwald. David Yates will be directing the film with J.K. Rowling, David Heyman, Lionel Wigram, and Steve Kloves acting as producers. Rowling will be writing the screenplay.

Spotify rumoured to be releasing its in-car music player later this year

It’s not the first time we’ve heard that Spotify has plans to release its own hardware. But now the latest round of rumours claim the in-car music player will be coming later this year. The device will be priced around US$100.

The music streaming service hopes to deliver a more direct music experience to its customers—instead of having them rely on platforms like Apple’s CarPlay or Google’s Android Auto. Rumour has it the device will sync with car stereos via Bluetooth and have buttons that you can preset to correspond to your favourite playlists. It’ll also support voice commands similar to what the current Spotify mobile app offers.

What isn’t known is if it’ll allow you to store music on it or if there will be LTE connectivity. Spotify’s challenge here is to get people to buy the device. As The Verge says, it might be more appealing if the company bundles it with its premium service.

Apple is selling the iPhone SE online in the US

Review: Apple iPhone SE

If you’ve been thinking of getting the iPhone SE, well the compact iPhone has made its appearance in Apple’s clearance section on the company’s US online store. The Verge reported it’s available in 32GB and 128GB models, with US$100 and $150 slashed off, respectively. But for now, we only see the 32GB version available in Rose Gold and Gold. This might not be up for long, so if you want the phone and have someone in the US who can get it for you, now might be the time to get one.
