Amazon Prime's award-winning 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' returns for season 2

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won all the awards from the Golden Globes to the Emmys and beyond while putting Amazon Prime Video squarely on the map as a producer of compelling comedy and drama. Season 2 of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel brings back the talented and funny Rachel Brosnahan as the newly-divorved Jewish mom who is also a grounbreaking stand-up comic in New York. 

Judging from the trailer, we're getting a more polished season 2 with higher production value and hopefully great writing and situational comedy with a great mix of drama and romance. The full season is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Netflix teases ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Christmas special with new trailer

There are two things we’re certain about the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. One is that it’s coming back in April for a second season. Two is that its Christmas special a.k.a. A Midwinter’s Tale is coming next week, December 14^th and we’re going to see talented actress McKenna Grace play a younger Sabrina Spellman. Now, the Netflix show is showing us more of a spooky good time this holiday season in the new trailer for the standalone special. Christmas in Greendale for the witches seems to be filled with ghouls and ghosts (like any other time of the year). There also seems to be an evil Santa and someone dead ghost is haunting Ambrose Spellman. Looks like it’s going to be a spooky Christmas and we can’t wait to see it.

Three NES classics coming to Nintendo Switch on December 12th

Ninja Gaiden

Nintendo Switch Online is bringing three NES classics into its fold in the coming week. Nintendo just announced it’ll be adding the hardcore NES favorite Ninja Gaiden from Koei Tecmo. The system is also getting HAL’s The Adventures of Lolo, which is a for-all-ages puzzle game. And Wario’s Woods, which is the last NES game that came out before the system was “retired” will also be hitting the service. The three games will be coming on December 12.

If you’re not using Switch Online yet but have a Nintendo Switch, you can sign up for an individual plan for $4.99 per month, $9.99 for three months, or 24.99 for one year. If you want to get a family plan, which can have up to eight Nintendo account holders, that costs $44.99 for a 12-month membership.

Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 855 SoC

Qualcomm just opened its annual Technology Summit and one of the big announcements on the first day is its next-generation mobile platform, the Snapdragon 855. It’s the company’s first major 5G platform. Technically, the X50 modem works with the Snapdragon 845 and 835, this new processor will most likely power the upcoming 5G-ready smartphones. The chip also packs in Qualcomm’s fourth generation AI Engine, which promises up to three times better AI performance than previous chips. This means we could see improvements when it comes to smart assistants, biometric security, image processing, and object recognition. The Snapdragon 855 also comes with Qualcomm’s Computer Vision ISP, which is supposed to be a boon for computational photography and video capture capabilities.

Aside from the AI improvements, Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Sensor is coming to the Snapdragon 855. Instead of using optical or capacitive technology, the sonic sensor will make use of ultrasound waves to get fingerprint details. It’s designed to work through multiple layers, including glass, for more discrete implementations.
