Notably, Threads will include trending topics related to politics and elections, despite Meta's recent decision to limit the recommendation of political content unless users opt in. However, Meta has confirmed that this restriction will not apply to the trending feature, stating that political topics are permissible unless they violate Community Guidelines or other integrity policies.
