Google Assistant comes to Android TV, starts with NVIDIA Shield

We have more Google Assistant news tonight. This time, the service is finally making its way to Android TV. But it’s currently limited to the NVIDIA Shield TV with Sony’s Android TV-powered Bravia televisions getting the sizeable update for it “in the coming months.” What Google brings to the TV is similar to what you get on other platforms but have some TV-specific tweaks. It’ll let you ask general questions, which it’ll answer on screen, play music, search YouTube, ask for specific content from apps like Netflix, look up photos from Google Photos, control your smart home devices, among many others.

Google preps users for Google Assistant-powered headphones with new videos

Google is making sure you make the most out of your Google Assistant-powered headphones (like the Bose QuietComfort 35 II) with new videos that have showed up on its Google Help account. If you’ve been thinking about how to make the most out of these cans, the short video above will show you what you can do. But if you’d rather focus on specific features, Google also posted shorter clips: one focusing on how Google Assistant and your headphones will work, the other more on what you can do with notifications.  So, when you do decide to get a pair, we are expecting more of these headphones to come out in the near future, you can use them like a pro.

New leaked image for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro surfaces

The leaks for the upcoming Huawei flagship phones just keep coming. This time we get a pretty good look at what the Mate 10 Pro is going to look like, courtesy of reliable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks). As we know, there are supposedly three different versions of the Mate 10: the standard Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Mate 10 Lite. We know “true” artificial intelligence is going to be at the heart of the new devices as Huawei just released last week a short promo highlighting the AI capabilities that come with their new processor built into the Mate 10.

We get more details from Blass about the Mate 10 Pro and a high-resolution render of the device to come with it. It shows an edge-to-edge display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a dual-camera 12- and 20-megapixel camera setup at the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera. There seems to be three different colors of the device: dark blue, black, and brown. A lighter band runs around the camera sensors and according to Blass, this look seems to be polarizing his followers. Whether these images are true or not, we don’t have to wait too long to see these new devices as Huawei is set to unveil them on October 16th.
