Humane backtracks on original statement, now says the AI Pin is water-resistant

When the Humane AI Pin was first announced, the startup said it "should not be exposed to water." And that included "condensation, splashing, mist, and perspiration." But Humane has since removed this reference on its support page. Instead, it now reads: ". Ai Pin is water resistant, meaning it’s capable of withstanding water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for activities involving sweat or use in light rain."

We would've expected the device to work this way given the Humane AI Pin is meant to be worn on your person. Hopefully, the actual product does withstand being out in the elements. The AI Pin is expected to start shipping in March (at least for those who pre-ordered early).

The 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+ offers a variety of innovative technologies to enhance the kitchen experience. One of them is AI Vision Inside, a smart internal camera that recognizes items in and out of the refrigerator. It also has Vision AI technology, which can identify 33 different fresh food items from a training data set of one million food photographs. 

You can also edit the food list and add expiration dates on the Family Hub+ screen, so you can receive alerts for items that are about to expire.

Meet the CineBeam Qube: LG’s new compact and minimalist 4K laser projector

LG’s new CineBeam Qube (model HU710PB) is a compact and minimalist laser projector that can fit in your palm. It weighs only 3.28 pounds and measures 135mm by 135mm by 80mm. It has a 360-degree rotatable handle for easy portability and LG claims it is one of the smallest projectors on the market.

The Qube can project 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) images up to 120 inches in size with a 1.2 throw ratio. It has an RGB laser light source that delivers a 450,000:1 contrast ratio and 154 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also features LG webOS 6.0, an image-mapping function, and an automatic brightness adjustment algorithm. It has HDMI eARC, USB-C ports, and a 3W built-in mono speaker.
