There will be a black-and-white cut of ‘Logan’

If you loved Logan and want a pure black-and-white experience for it, you can own a piece of that. According to Logan’s director James Mangold, there will be a Blu-ray and DVD release for it. But if you find yourself in the U.S. on May 16^th, then you’ll have a chance to catch the black-and-white version on that one night. Not much has been said yet when it’ll be shown but this version of the film, as Mangold said, had to be “regraded [and] timed shot by shot.”

Suggestion. Hard core B&W loving LOGAN fans should not make any plans on the evening of May 16th.

Google adds links to media content services when searching on iOS

Google just updated its search capabilities on iOS to make it easier to look for media content—like movies and music—online. When you do a Google search on a specific song, TV show, or movie. The results will show in the Knowledge Panel icons for services that offer the content, like iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, YouTube, etc. If you click on these links, it’ll take you straight to that app or service. And if you haven’t signed up for the specific service, pricing information will be displayed, too. This feature should show up on both Google Search app as well as on mobile web browser.

Musical.ly users now get access to songs on Apple Music

A new partnership between Apple and Musical.ly is set to bring more tunes to the creation tool/social network. Musical.ly is an app that lets you create and share your own 15-second music video using parts of songs and various video and visual effects. Now, you can select songs from Apple Music’s library to play with. At the same time, Musical.ly will let you listen to full songs from Apple Music within the Musical.ly app and create playlists from there. The deal helps out Apple in the sense that it has also been trying to boost the visibility of video in its own Apple Music ecosystem. Musical.ly is available for download on iTunes, Amazon app stores, and Google Play.
