Samsung will completely disable charging capabilities of the Galaxy Note7

Samsung is making it extra hard for those still holding onto their Galaxy Note7 devices. The South Korean company plans to disable charging on the phablet to push those who still have the devices with them to return the product to the brand. Samsung initially limited the charging capability of the Note7 below capacity and even cut off mobile network access. If you’re still holding on to the device already deemed a fire hazard, we highly recommend you give up the device for your own safety.

Gorillaz’s new trippy music video is in VR

Gorillaz takes advantage of Google’s virtual reality platform for its new music video. Ahead of its new album release on April 28th, the band partnered with Google Spotlight Stories for its first music video for the album. In true Gorillaz fashion, the music video for Saturnz Barz is trippy. There are two parts to it with you watching the video from a smartphone while in a moving train and then you find yourself with the band inside a creepy haunted house and through space afterwards. Of course we have to mention the catchy tune that accompanies the video. It’s a delight to watch but might not be good to view in the office with a bit of nudity in it.

These are the new Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss Android Wear watches

A few days after announcing that there will be Android Wear 2.0 watches from both Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger. These fashion brands have now debuted the two watches at Baselworld 2017. The Hugo Boss Touch is the dressier of the two with its leather band option. It supposedly comes with NFC and will retail for US$395 when it comes out in August. Meanwhile, the Tommy Hilfiger TH24/7You, with its mouthful of a name, seems to be the more casual of the two with its metal link band. It’ll come in cheaper than the touch at US$299 but it won’t have NFC. And just like the Touch, it doesn’t look like it’ll sport a heart rate sensor, too.
