Movado plans to launch Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches at Baselworld 2017

Movado, the company behind brands such as Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger, plans to out a new smartwatch collection at the upcoming international watch and jewelry trade show Baselworld 2017 set to start on March 23rd. There will be five Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches from Movado and these men’s style watches are expected to come to Canada, the US, the UK, and the Caribbean in the fall. Movado hasn’t spoken much about the specs of the Movado Connect line but they will come with Android Pay support and custom watch faces. Pricing for the watches will start at US$495. The company also announced that the two aforementioned brands, Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss, also have partnerships with Google to release new smartwatches this fall.

TIMEX IQ+ Move smartwatch is stylish, affordable and focused on fitness

Traditional watch manufacturers like Timex are now entering the market but not with tricked out tech-heavy devices but with stylish and tradtional looking mechanical watches that integrate some fitness tracking featues.

KAYAK and UberEATS to treat Torontonians to a free lunch this friday

On Friday, March 10th KAYAK will treat Torontonians to a delicious free lunch at their desk – so they can eat while they search for their next adventure! They have partnered with UberEATS to give away 500 free lunches between the hours of 12pm and 3pm (up to $20 per lunch).

Flickr makes it easier to search for images

Hoping to boost the relevance of your searches, Flickr introduces what it calls “similarity search.” This new feature will help you look for photos that are visually similar to the one you’re currently looking at. The example it gave was doing a search for a cactus. When you input the search term, just hover over the image that looks the most like what you want. Afterwards, select the “…” menu. From there, you get an option to “Search for similar photos” and you’re good to go. This feature will hopefully help you find the images you want quicker.
