Uber launches video ads across its apps, including Drizly

Uber is launching video ads across its apps, including Uber Eats and Drizly, its newly acquired alcohol delivery service. The Wall Street Journal reports that users will see ads up to 90 seconds long while waiting for a ride or order and another personalized ad on a tablet in the car during their trip. Uber says it can target ads based on users’ location, destination, preferences, and history.

Uber Eats will now serve the Saanich Peninsula

Uber Eats is bringing its services up the Saanich Peninsula. It will offer food delivery, online ordering, and pick-up just north of Sidney and then stretching into Saanich. It will exclude an area west of John Dean Provincial Park. Uber's food delivery arm has been available in Victoria since 2018. If you want to use the service, you'll need to download the Uber Eats app.

Uber for Business brings corporate Eats to Canada

Uber for Business is introducing its Eats feature in Canada, allowing companies to set meal programs and spending allowances for their employees to order food from certain restaurants at select times. Uber said it accelerated the rollout of the feature to more countries as more and more people work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Uber, the company is rolling out new features so businesses of all sizes can use the service. Employees can use their corporate cards and manage orders through a business profile on the Uber Eats app or website.
