Microsoft and Inworld AI team up to bring AI tools to Xbox games

Microsoft is partnering with Inworld AI to develop AI tools for Xbox games, such as AI-enhanced characters and dynamic storylines. The Verge reports that this multiyear deal will enable Xbox developers to use artificial intelligence more effectively in their game design. Inworld AI will focus on creating an AI design copilot and an AI character runtime engine, similar to the ones used by modder Bloc in his AI-powered GTA 5 mod Sentient Streets. That was was shut down by Take-Two, though.

Apple releases updates for macOS Ventura and Sonoma with M3 support

Apple released an update on Tuesday that includes macOS Ventura 13.6.2 build 22G320 and macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 build 23B81. The former is for older Macs that cannot upgrade to macOS Sonoma and contains bug fixes. The latter is for any Mac already compatible with macOS Sonoma pre-M3, which contains bug fixes and security updates.

Sony ends Twitter/X integration on PS4/PS5

Sony is ending its integration with X (formerly Twiter) on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles next week. The ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4 and post and view content, trophies, and other gameplay-related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4 will end on Nov. 13.

Microsoft Surface PCs get longer driver and firmware support

According to a Microsoft support document reported on by Windows Central, Microsoft Surface PCs that have shipped on or after January 1st, 2021, will receive at least six years of driver and firmware updates. This is an improvement from the previous policy of supporting devices with at least four years of updates from when they first came out.
