Threads is getting an edit button soon

Richard Lawler / The Verge

Meta is bringing an edit button to Threads. And you don't have to pay for it. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced it'll give you the option to edit your posts five minutes after they're published. The posts will have a little icon next to the timestamp to show you that it's been edited. However, unlike with X (formerly Twitter), you won't see an edit history. That means you won't see what the original post was. But it's good to see Meta rolling this out without putting it behind a paywall. And it took them a few months instead of years. Twitter added an edit feature as a perk for its formerly named Twitter Blue paid subscription service.

Zuckerberg also announced that Voice Threads is coming to the service. This will let you record posts for the service. And as The Verge describes it, your voice will play while the text of what's being said is highlighted.

What you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE

Samsung’s "Fan Edition" of phones is back with the Galaxy S23 FE, a lower-priced flagship that costs US$600 (around CA$815), compared to the original CA$$1,099.99 Galaxy S23. The phone retains many high-end features, such as a telephoto lens, reverse wireless charging, and a 120Hz display. However, it also has some trade-offs, such as using an older processor, a less glossy frame, and a lower-resolution zoom camera.

The S23 FE follows the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released in early 2022. In case you're wondering, there was no Galaxy S22 FE. These FE phones aim to offer a flagship experience for less money, sometimes with improvements like a larger battery and screen. Samsung also has cheaper phones in the Galaxy A series, but the FE phones focus on the most noticeable features from the higher-end line.
