Capcom to release PS4 and Xbox One versions of ‘Resident Evil 5’ on June 28th

Are you a Resident Evil fan? Then you might have heard that Capcom’s been celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series by selling some of its greatest hits again. But they’re doing it in reverse order. They started with Resident Evil 6 back in March and are working their way towards the game that redefined the series: Resident Evil 4. Before that release though, Capcom is releasing Resident Evil 5 first for the Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4. The Xbox One and PS4 releases come will all the original game’s add-on content. RE5 is the game that first introduced local co-op play in the franchise.

The digital version of the game will retail for US$20 (around CA$26) in North America and will be coming on June 28th. The physical disc, meanwhile, will come out on July 12th for the same price.
