Facebook pushing mobile web users to download Messenger app

Facebook has done it once before and it seems they’re doing it again. Some users of the mobile web version of Facebook are having a hard time accessing their instant messages on the mobile browser. According to Android Authority, these users have been getting a “Your conversations are moving to Messenger” and while it seems like just a friendly reminder, what that almost does is redirect you to the Google Play download page of Messenger. You can keep pressing back and try to get to your messages but it’s clear Facebook will keep nagging you to download the app.

If you don’t like the path of least resistance and keep wondering why Facebook is doing this, well the simple reason is Facebook has been putting in a lot of work into Messenger and they want you to use it. Plus, there have been rumours that ads are heading that way, too. Of course, you can hold out for as long as you can… or at least until you still have the option to.

Microsoft Outlook gets Android Wear watch face

Microsoft wants to make it easier for you to see your schedule and unread emails with its new Outlook for Android Wear watch face. You no longer have to rely on notifications from the Android Wear app but you can just raise your wrist to check your calendar and email as well as the time, of course. There are also different background and accent colors for you to choose from to make it somewhat your own. You can still interact with Outlook the same way you did with the Android smartphone app. You still have the options to respond to RSVP request, send replies from a pre-set list, and use voice dictation to compose a customized message.

The Apple Beat: Mighty MacBook Pro up for redesign

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

The 13-inch MacBook Pro and its 15-inch variant are undoubtedly two of the greatest laptops ever made. My 2013 13-inch MacBook Pro has been dropped multiple times, has survived chaotic press scrums, and traveled with me all over the world and it still runs like a clock.

The size, amount of ports and combination of processing power and portability, plus the ability to run the latest version of Mac OS X and that class-leading Retina Display, makes the MacBook Pro one of the most compelling notebook options out there. So how can it be improved?
