Snyder’s ambitious space opera was a tough pitch. It started as a Star Wars spin-off inspired by Seven Samurai, but without the familiar characters, it was a tough sell for Lucasfilm. Undeterred, Snyder brought his 172-page script to Netflix, where it became a two-part epic: Rebel Moon: Part One — A Child of Fire and Rebel Moon: Part Two — The Scargiver. And the first movie’s trailer and the release dates for both parts have just been revealed.
